Estimating gratuity without generating payroll payments

Step 1: Click PAYROLL

Step 1A: Go to Monthly Procedures

Step 1B: Click Gratuity

Step 2: Apply the relevant criteria to retrieve the employees for whom the gratuity calculation is required.

Step 2A: Select the Company

Step 2B: Select the employee or any relevant criteria to retrieve employees

Step 2C: Proposed Left Date – Choose or insert the proposed date of leaving

Step 2D: Gratuity Type – Choose from the drop-down list the applicable gratuity type (Retirement or Death)

Step 2E: Left Reason – Choose from the drop-down list the applicable reason for leaving

Step 2F: Click Save Criteria

Step 2G: Click Calculate Gratuity to proceed with the gratuity calculation

Wait until the process is completed

Step 2H: Click Close

3: The Calculate Gratuity tab provides the following:

3A: To locate specific employees within the gratuity calculation grid. Applying multiple criteria helps refine the grid view to show only the records you need.

3B: The grid provides a consolidated view of the estimated gratuity amount and associated indemnities for an employee. It brings together the key information used in and resulting from the gratuity calculation, including employee details, PRGF and Pension Scheme status, years of service and exit details, earnings, and end-of-year bonus. It also displays other gratuity-related information, such as the death grant, along with relevant PD generated indicators and record selection.

3C: Tooltips are available to provide additional information about the content of the columns.

3D: Should you need to review the estimated calculations based on the Proposed Left Date and/or Gratuity Type and/or Left Reason, double-click the editable cells to modify the required value.

3E: For example to view the monthly detailed earnings over 12 months

3F: After the calculations are reviewed, click Save & Recalculate to apply the new values where applicable.

3G: Check the estimated figures for gratuity and indemnities
