====== Salary Increase Overview ======

As per the Additional Remuneration and Other Allowances (2018) Act 2017 [Act No. 19 of 2017], every employer shall, as from 1 January 2018 pay to every employee who works under a contract of employment. in addition to the basic wage or salary payable to the employee, an additional remuneration of -

**  * (a)** Rs 360 per month if he works on a full-time basis; or

**  * (b)** 3.6% of his basic wage, subject to a maximum of Rs 360, if he works on a part-time basis.
